Randall Elarco Sr.
Randall Thomas Elarco Sr., 59, of Kohala, died Dec. 23 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born Jan. 6, 1952, in Kohala, he was a senior storekeeper for the Marriott, member of AFL/CIO and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. Dec. 28 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Family requests casual attire be worn and flowers omitted.
He is survived by wife, Florine Elarco, of Kohala; mother, Miriam Elarco, of Kohala; son, Randall (Camille) Elarco Jr., of Kohala; daughters, Teresa (Jason) Elarco, Danusia (Brian) Elarco, Tammy (Augustine) Santiago, all of Kohala, Linda (Ika) Vea, of Kona; hanai son, Clint Lewi, of Waimea; hanai daughter, Ursula (Glenn) Sambrana, of Hilo; brother, Graciano (Laurie) Elarco Jr., of Kohala; sisters, Gwen (Rod) Arias, of Hilo, Laura (John) Souza, Cecila (Ross) Alaimo, both of Kohala; 15 grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Daniel Isadore Bernstein, 78, of Hilo, died Dec. 1 at his residence. Born March 9, 1933, in Chicago, he was an artist, former art director for a Chicago ad agency, owner of Bernstein Design Group and a Korean War veteran.
Private services were held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Hilo.
He is survived by wife, Lucy Bernstein, of Hilo; son, Adam Bernstein, of Bothell, Wash.
